Peakle is a daily knowledge game where each answer can move your climber higher on the mountain. Every round gives you a topic and a measurable scale—such as land area, population, or film runtime. Your challenge is to keep naming answers with larger values than the one before.
The rule is simple; the decisions are not. A high answer may gain altitude quickly, but it leaves fewer choices above it. Start low, read the scale, and see how long you can keep the chain growing.
How a Peakle round works
- Read the mountain question. It tells you what kind of answer to find and which direction is higher.
- Choose your first answer. Any answer available in the current question bank is allowed for your first step.
- Keep moving upward. From your second answer onward, its value must be strictly greater than the previous answer.
- Submit each pick. Search for an answer in English or Chinese, select a match, and submit it. The game reveals its value and updates your route.
- Climb until the chain ends. A duplicate, equal value, or smaller value ends the run. The climb also stops when no unused answer is higher than your last safe pick.
The increasing-answer rule
Peakle compares the numeric value attached to each answer in the current question bank. If the question asks for countries by land area, for example, each new country must have more land area than the one before it. A name that sounds bigger is not enough—the recorded value decides whether the move is safe.
Values are revealed after you submit an answer. You can use the prompt, unit, and the information you know to choose carefully, but Peakle does not accept a tie. The next value must be greater, not equal.
How Peakle scoring and altitude work
Your score is the number of answers accepted before the climb ends. A failed answer does not add a step. Each safe step moves your climber higher, and the total route is scaled toward the summit. Reaching the summit means you successfully placed every answer in that round's available pool in increasing order.
The number of available answers can differ between question banks, so the height gained per answer can vary. Focus on the safe-step count shown in the toolbar and the altitude shown over the mountain scene; both reflect how far your answer chain has climbed.
Daily Challenge and Unlimited mode
Daily Challenge
Daily gives everyone the same featured question for that day. The topic changes with the daily route, so one day may test geography while another uses a different Peakle question bank. You can continue a saved run or review your result later from Past Games.
Unlimited
Unlimited lets you choose a topic and keep starting new climbs. Use the category selector beside the Unlimited mode control, or browse the complete question-bank directory on the Categories page. Each new round gives you another chance to build a longer chain.
Tips for a higher climb
- Start low. Your first answer sets the minimum value for the rest of the route. A very high first pick can leave only a few answers above it.
- Prefer steady steps. When you have several valid choices, a moderately larger value often preserves more options than a big jump.
- Check the unit. Area, population, runtime, and other scales use different units. Compare values only within the question shown.
- Avoid repeats. Every answer can be used once. Repeating an item ends the run.
- Use search to check the answer pool. Peakle accepts a selected match from the current question bank, not arbitrary text.
- Learn from the reveal. After a pick, its value becomes visible. Use that new reference point to judge the next step.
Where to find your past answers
Open Past Games, choose a date, and select its question to open the answer page. Saved answer chains show accepted picks, the point where the climb ended, your score, and your altitude. An unplayed date offers a link to start that day's challenge.
Peakle currently saves game progress in the browser on the device where you played. Clearing browser storage or switching devices may remove or hide those local results.
Frequently asked questions
Does my first answer have to be the smallest?
No. Any available answer can start the round. Starting low is a strategy because it usually leaves more possible answers above your first pick.
Can the next answer have the same value?
No. Values must strictly increase. A tie ends the climb, just like a smaller value.
Does a wrong answer count toward my score?
No. Your score counts safe, accepted steps only. The answer that ends the route is shown in the result but does not add a step.
Can I play more than one round?
Yes. Unlimited mode lets you choose a category and start new rounds whenever you want. Daily is the featured challenge for the current date.
Can I search in Chinese?
Yes. Search supports English and Chinese names when those names are available in the question bank.
Does Peakle work on a phone?
Peakle's game pages are designed to fit mobile screens and touch input as well as desktop browsers. You can search, select an answer, and submit it from the same page.
